When working with you as an individual, I will focus on understanding how your unconscious brain works and why it’s keeping you stuck in the areas of your life where you would like to see changes. As I begin to understand you, I will help you understand yourself. With this understanding you will begin to change from the inside-out. You will stay “you,” but a….better, more fulfilled, healthier, more creative, happier, less stressed “you.” It’s not an easy or quick-fix approach. Because the changes you will make will be natural and permanent, you’ll be doing longer-term work than other therapies, but it is well worth the effort.
If this sounds overwhelming, I can understand that. It can be very hard for many people to feel safe enough to open up to another person about the deepest parts of their lives. It can also be hard to face painful feelings you’d rather forget about. This is okay, and is a part of the therapy we will need to work through over time. As a professional, I will make sure you feel comfortable during the process, but I will also be directive when I need to be so that you can grow.
